CrossFit Total Challenge

January 16th - March 27th
The CrossFit Total
The CrossFit Total is the sum of your one rep max on three lifts, your Back Squat, your Shoulder Press, and your Deadlift. You may warm up with as many sets as you like. Once you begin you have 3 attempts at a max for each lift.
This is your opportunity to really see how your hard work pays off. On Saturday January 16th and Sunday January 17th we will test your CrossFit Total (click here for details and rules). In March, after lots of hard work and more strength focused programming, you will re-test to see how much stronger you have gotten.
Athletes will be divided into weight classes as follows:
Women:
- 130lbs and under
- 131lbs - 154lbs
- 155lbs +
Men:
- 170lbs and under
- 171lbs - 204lbs
- 205lbs +
Cash prizes will be awarded to the highest Total in each weight class as well as the most improved athlete.
Prelims:
Saturday January 16th
Sunday January 17th
Times for both Saturday and Sunday:
8:30am-10:00am
9:30am-11:00am
Entry Fee: $25 ($20 goes into the kitty for prize money)
Finals:
Athletes must weigh in prior to lifting!
Saturday March 27th
Weigh in at 8:30am
Individual times by weightclass TBD
Stay for food and fun afterward!
To register:
1. Read the article describing the CrossFit Total and outlining the rules.
2. E-mail jen@crossfitboston.com to enter and include your estimated opening weight for each lift. Pay your entry fee.
3. Come to prelims January 16th or 17th to determine your Total.
4. Come to class and get strong! Our programming for the next 3 months will be geared toward improving your strength.
5. Come to the Finals March 27th to re-test your Total
