Power Endurance, Run Training
Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 10:51AM Slight change of plans today. POSE work coming a little later today. First had a date with "Cindy" completed 18 rounds plus 5 pullups and 10 Pushups. Got the last push up as the clock struck zero! That is a PR better than 3 rounds. I am definitely getting better at bw metcons. On a down note, slightly tore my left palm. I hate tearing my hands and I think this one is due to the butterfly kips based on where the tear is. Bacitracin in order.
I will follow up later to chime in on the running workout. Here are a couple pics from this morning's classes!
Mel has worked hard to develop her squat!
Well, I went to complete my run last evening and after completing my POSE drills I pulled my calf on my first run! There was a loud pop noise accompanied with the feeling of someone sticking a knife into my lower leg. Soooo frustrating! This morning I am hobbling around and my calf is bruised. Time for some aggressive treatment. R.I.C.E. baby!

I didn't even know you were taking my picture yesterday.
Get healthy Neal!
No pulling of calves allowed, hurts the endurance game too much, you might want to get on your stationary bike and do tabata sprints to keep your conditioning up. A proper standing pedaling cadence is pretty similar to a good running workout, helps you work on your leg speed too.
